VOLKSWAGEN is a German automobile manufacturer company whose headquartered situated at Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. Volkswagen is the biggest German automaker and is the top selling and original marquee of the Volkswagen Group and the second largest automaker company in the world. Volkswagen has three cars of , Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Golf listed the top 10 best selling cars of all the time. With these three cars, Volkswagen has the most cars of any automobile manufacturer. As of 2011, Volkswagen ranks first in spending the most money of any automaker on research and development.
Volkswagen means ‘people’s car’ in terms of German and its current slogan is ‘Das Auto’ means “The Car”. In the early 1930’s, the German auto industry was largely composed of luxury models, and the average German rarely afford anything more than a motorcycle. Adolf Hitler played an important role in growing of the company, War means production, the company owes its post-war existence largely to one man, British Army Officer Major Ivan Hirst, REME. From 1948, Volkswagen became a very important element, economically and symbolically, of West German regeneration. In 1949, Major Hirst left association with the company, as it had now been reformed as a trust, controlled by the West German government and the government of the State of Lower Saxony.

After the long journey, it manufactured other main models like Polo, a smaller car than the Golf, and the larger Passat above the Golf. The Scirocco and the later Corrado were both Golf based couples. Volkswagen have produced four winners of the World Car of the Year competition. And it has the most World Car of the Year awards of any automobile company. Volkswagen has had one car shortlisted for the World Car of the Year that is Volkswagen Passat. Volkswagen wins many awards in almost every year. Its other operations are in museum, work-life balance, worldwide presence and relationship with Porche, and the Volkswagen Law.
