In 1918, The company was founded and has slowly grown to became one of the largest Japanese electronic producers Hitachi, canon Inc., Sony, Toshiba. It offers  non-electronic services and products also. Panasonic Corporation earlier known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. Whose changed iys name on 10 January 2008. Which is a Japanese multinational electronic corporation headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan. The changed name was approved on June 26, 2008 at a shareholders  meeting after consultation with the Matsusita family.

During World War II Panasonic company operated factories in Japan and some part if Asia produces electronic components and appliances like motors, electric irons, light fixtures, wireless equipments and its first vaccum tube. After the War it began to supply radios and appliances, and bicycles in Japan. Matsushita traveled United States and met American dealers in 1961. The company started producing television sets for the U.S. market with the brand name Panasonic, and expand to Europe in 1979. In 19873, Matsushita formed a joint venture Anam Group, Anam National. In 1983, Matsushita launched its first Japanese-made IBM PC compatible computer. Matsushita sold Anam National to Anam Electronics in 1998. In 1999, Panasonic planned to develop a “next generation first aid kit” called the Electronic health checker.

On May 2,2002, Panasonic Canada marked in this country its 35th anniversary by giving $5 million to help build a “music city” in Torronto. On November3, 2008 Panasonic and Sanyo starts merging, and it was completed in December 2009. In October 2011, Panasonic announced that would trim its money-losing TV business by ceasing production of Plasma TVs. On May 2013, Panasonic announced to invest $40-million in building a factory in Binh Duang, Vietnam expected to completed in 2014. In IFA 2013, Panasonic announced to acquired the “Cameramanager video surveillance services”. Panasonic announced that it has reached a basic agreement with Tesla Motors to participate in the Gigafactory, the huge battery plant. In August 2014, Tesla said the plant would be built in the Southwest or Western United States by 2020. In October 2014, According to the firm’s CEO, Panasonic announced its initial investment in Tesla Motor’s battery factory about ‘tens of billions’ of yen.
