
AUDI
Audi Group(AG) is a German automobile manufacturer that designs, produces, engineers, market and distributes automobiles headquartered at Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. Audi Group provided nine production facilities around the world. The company name is based on the surname of Latin translation of the founder, August Horch. Horch means listen in German and it becomes Audi in Latin. Audi is a member of the three big Germany luxury automobile manufacturer along with Mercedes-Benz and BMW, which are the three best selling luxury automakers worldwide.
In 1885, an automobile company Wanderer was established, later becoming a branch of Audi Group. Another company NSU, also later merged into Audi which was also founded during this time. The first production of Audi automobile was the Audi Type A 10/22 hpSport-Phaeton, followed by the successor Type B 10/28 PS in the same year. The first six-cylinder model Type M, 4,655 cc comes in 1924. In September 1921, Audi became the first German car manufacturer to present a production the Audi Type-K car with left handed drive which provide a better view of oncoming traffic and making overtaking safer.
The new merged company was known as Audi NSU Auto Union AG, and saw the emergence of Audi as a separate brand. Volkswagen introduced the Audi brand to the United States for the 1970 model year. The first new car of this regime was the Audi100 of 1968 and it was soon joined by the Audi 80/Fox. Audi’s two principal assembly plants are; Ingolstadt in 1964, and Neckarsulm in 1969. Audi manufactures vehicles in seven plants around the world, some of which are shared by Volkswagen Group. In 2014, Audi UK falsely claimed that the Audi A7, A8 and R8 were Euro NCAP safety tested, and all achieving five stars. In fact none were tested.
Its some of the technologies are in the field of Space frame, bodyshells, engines, drive trains, fuel stratified injection and LED daytime running lights.
